Selous and Ruaha Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam, Transfer to the Selous Game Reserve

Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to the Selous Game Reserve, one of the largest protected areas in Africa.

Check in at your safari lodge or camp and spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2-4: Safari and Boat Safari in Selous

Enjoy three full days of safari activities in the Selous Game Reserve, known for its diverse habitats, including grassy plains, wooded savannahs, and the Rufiji River.

Your daily activities may include morning and afternoon game drives, guided bush walks, and a boat safari on the Rufiji River, offering opportunities to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lion, buffalo, hippo, and numerous bird species.

Take in the breath-taking landscapes and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and wildlife of Selous.

Day 5-7: Game Drives in Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania's largest national park, known for its rugged terrain, baobab-studded landscapes, and abundant wildlife.

Spend the next three days exploring Ruaha through game drives, seeking out its diverse wildlife, which includes large elephant herds, lions, leopards, and a variety of antelope species. Enjoy the remote and wild atmosphere, and witness the unique features of this unspoiled wilderness.

Day 8: Return to Dar es Salaam for Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Dar es Salaam for your departure from Julius Nyerere International Airport or to an onward destination, concluding your Selous and Ruaha Safari.
